My neighbor has several crepe myrtles in his yard that he had cut back to an extreme about 2 weeks ago. The trimmings from the tree were rather large and some of them ended up in my yard. I’m an easy going guy and while I didn’t really like it, I didn’t say anything to my neighbor. My wife did say something to the people that cut the trees a few days later when they were moving the trimmings to the edge of the road to be picked up by the city. She asked if they cut them and they said no. I think they were afraid that she was upset. Anyway, they moved them to the edge of the road. Even then, some of them were still in our yard. I ended up have to mow around them at least twice. Still, I didn’t complain to the neighbors.
This past weekend, we trimmed our crepe myrtles. We also cut some branches off of some other trees in our yard. We ended up with as much brush at the road from our trees as our neighbor had from his. But I didn’t put any of our branches in our neighbors’ yard.
Any time that we put brush at the edge of our yard for pickup, we usually want it picked up as quickly as possible. The only exception is when we know we will be putting more at the road very soon. Our main desire it that it’s stay at the edge of our yard is as short as possible. Earlier today, I received a text from my wife telling me that the brush was gone. She was excited. I was happy too. When I arrived home earlier, I immediately noticed that the brush was gone. I also noticed that our neighbors still have brush in their yard. :)
